A joiner, two blacksmiths and two painters will be going, they were informed of the decision earlier today, their unions have also been informed.
Minister David Cretney has said the move is regrettable but they were forced to make the cuts in the face of an £800,000 budget cut.
The Minister also went onto say that by making these cut backs they can provide greater security for the remaining employees.
