A 44% increase on gas prices comes into effect from today.
Manx Gas has confirmed the increase will only apply on gas used after this date, and bills covering periods before September will still be charged the old rate.
The price of gas on Island last went up in April, with this latest rise representing an increase of £677 per year for the average customer.
According to Manx Gas, the hike is due to the steep rise in the cost of gas on the commodity market.
