An Island auction house says it's pleased after a cherished licence plate number fetched just under £40,000 yesterday.
Chrystals held a vehicle auction on Sunday at its Allan Street auction house, with the plate among the lots.
The company says two local bidders went to war when the plate - MAN 1 N - came up for grabs.
When the bidding ended, the registration went for £39,220.
