35 vehicles targeted during night of vandalism in Castletown

A total of 35 vehicles suffered damage in Castletown over the weekend following a wave of vandalism.

The majority of the damage centred on broken off wing mirrors and snapped wiper blades, three cars also suffered punctured tyres.
 
The damage has been spread from the Janets Corner area down Bowling Green Road, via Pickard Close, Smetana Close towards Athol Terrace across the pedestrian bridge over the Silverburn River.  
 
It's estimated the cost of the damage will run into the tens of thousands for the owners.
 
Witnesses saw three males in their teens or early twenties causing damage to a car in The Crofts area, they're described as being slim in build, and wearing dark coloured hooded tops.
 
It's thought the majority of the damage took place around 3am on Saturday morning.
