Two customers have refused to have smart electricity meters digitally connected - but will pay more for the privilege.
Manx Utilities chair John Wannenburgh faced a question for written answer from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about meter installations.
Mr Wannenburgh said 27,500 smart meters have already been installed, and the remaining 22,000 should be fitted by the end of next year.
He revealed two customers opted out of having their meters online, and pay a higher standing charge to have them read four times a year.
