Over a thousand people have lined up at the NSC this morning for the annual Parish Walk.
A record number of entrants have entered in to the 85 mile trek around the Isle of Man.
They set off just after 8AM.
Weather conditions could make it difficult as its expected as it's expected to stay very hot and humid.
We caught up with last years winner Jock Woddington who was wishing all first time parish walkers the best luck.
He is hoping to win again but knows he will have to up his pace to do that.
He told 3FM that the support that island residents gives helps him get through. (audio above)
