The government says it'll spend more than £1,600 per person on government pensions in the coming year.
A Freedom of Information request to the Treasury asked for the figure after noting the government said it would spend just over £16,000 per person from the budget this year.
In its response, the Treasury said it planned to spend £1,669 per person on pensions for former government employees.
It added £462 of that figure comes from employee contributions.
