16 year olds urged to make use of their vote this September

The Isle of Man became the first place in Western Europe to give 16 year olds the vote, Roger Tomlinson of the Positive Action Group is urging the teens to honour this priveledge.

An appeal has gone out to young voters on the Isle of Man to ensure they get involved in this years general election.

It's been identified that getting the younger voters onside will lead to a strong turn out come September.

The rallying cry has gone out to all potential voters with PAG saying you should 'grasp your chance to influence Island politics'.

They are holding a meeting at 7.30pm on Monday titled 'Identifying Election Issues' at the Manx Legion Club, Market Hill, Douglas.
