A 16-year-old boy is taking on a 28-mile walk to raise funds for the Island's Hospice in memory of his Dad, Chris.
Aedan Pickard has set himself the challenge of the Millenium Way Walk, a 24-mile stomp from Ramsey right through to the South of the Island.
Aedan and his family will get their walking shoes on this coming Friday (August 11).
Aedan says his Dad passed away at IOM Hospice in March this year, after a 2-year struggle with cancer.
He says 'Dad received amazing care from the Hospice staff and they supported us all as a family. So to show our appreciation I would like to give something back. I wish to raise money for the Hospice by walking the Millennium Way over two days with my mum, Aunties and Uncles. Dad would've loved to complete the trek with us, but we shall do this in his memory and hopefully raise some money on the way.'
