Latest figures show there are currently 15 retail businesses on Island recording a minimum of £500,000 profit each year.
Last year this amounted to £2.2m in tax revenue collected on Island.
Back in 2013, then Treasury Minister Eddie Teare forecast this should be generating £3.5m per year.
Responding to a question in the House of Keys yesterday, current Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allinson highlighted how the numbers of businesses in this tax bracket is growing year on year:
