The Department of Education, Sport and Culture says more than £14 million is owed to the government in outstanding student loans.
A Freedom of Information request asked how much was owed each year since 2021, how many loans there were and how many had been repaid.
In its response, the DESC said there were 2,323 loans outstanding at the end of March with a total value of £14.4 million.
1,245 Island graduates owed a total of £8.2 million.
