People have been told they can keep hold of sandbags ahead of high tides again next month.
The Department of Infrastructure has distributed over 13,000 bags to residents and businesses.
The majority of them have been taken to Douglas, Laxey, Castletown and Ramsey to help stop tidal flooding.
Although there are no imminent high tides over the next few weeks they are forecast again early in February which could cause further problems.
Anyone who wants to keep hold of the sandbags is asked to store them in a safe place – alternatively they will be collected and returned to the department.
