Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood says more than a hundred roads need work to support 20mph zones - but there's no money to make the changes.
She faced a question for written reply from Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas about sites her department said needed traffic-calming measures as part of the 20mph zone project.
Dr Haywood said in 2021 a project implementation plan found 140 sites on 123 roads which would need work such as chicanes, narrowings, or speed bumps to support self-enforcing 20 zones.
But she added no work has been done because there was no money set aside for it.
