£1 million to be spent on railway repairs

Over £1 million will be spent on repairs at Ballure to ensure that the Manx Electric Railway can continue to operate.

Tynwald has approved the money for the structural work so that services will still be able to run to Ramsey.

However Douglas East MHK Brenda Cannell says she wants reassurance from the Infrastructure Minister that after previous work to stabilise the cliffs in the area it won't be a waste of money:
