A worker unfairly sacked from a car sales business in Ballasalla may have his tribunal award cut because of coronavirus.
John Charles Heayns won a payout of £18,241 from Athol Garage after a tribunal heard he'd been improperly dismissed without notice in June 2019.
But at an appeal, the company argued the figures given for his future earnings had been mistaken because Mr Heayns would have been furloughed during the pandemic lockdowns.
Deemster Corlett said the employment tribunal should take the case back and recalculate the compensation the business should pay.
