IT workers won't need work permits in future, if Tynwald approves new regulations this month.
Enterprise Minister Lawrence Skelly will ask the court to approve new regulations under the Island's Control of Employment Act.
It would mean people working in ICT or e-business would no longer require work permits to work on the Island.
The measures were announced earlier this year to tackle a skills gap in the industry.
