A popular cafe in the south of the Island has confirmed its closing its doors for good.
The Sugarloaf Cafe, based in Port St Mary made the announcement on social media at the weekend.
It says 'as with other small hospitality businesses, we have been hit by rising energy, ingredients and staff costs.'
Owner Nick Clague says this, alongside the current VAT regime is 'uniquely challenging' and makse a 'business like a cafe not economically viable.'
The business has thanked all customers, staff and suppliers for their support and commitment over the past four years.
