Student's prospects are 'positive' says DEC

Around 25 per cent of young people receiving their A-level results today will be looking for full time employment.

That's according to the Department of Education and Children as hundreds of teenagers collect their results. 
 
They'll determine if they can progress in education to university, onto courses at the University College Isle of Man or into the world of work. 
 
School improvement officer Joel Smith says the careers service will be on hand to offer help and advice with many opportunities on offer:
