The Financial Services Authority is warning people about a website which pretends to be from an Island bank, but is actually run by fraudsters.
fairbairnpvt.com claims to belong to Douglas-based Fairbairn Private Bank but gives the wrong address and phone number.
The FSA says the site is also riddled with errors and isn't connected to any genuine Isle of Man companies.
It says the site is trying to gather personal data, possibly for identity theft, and people should steer clear of it.
