Would you like to receive weather warnings direct to your phone?
If so, you're being urged to sign up to 'Everbridge Messaging' - a system designed to send warnings for both emergencies and adverse weather on Island.
Civil Defence sent their first weather warning this week and states it's a 'quick and efficient way' of getting the information out.
Those who have already signed up will have received an automated message or had a missed call from 694317, the Emergency Planning Unit office.
But people can chose if they want to be contacted by phone or text.
More information on how to sign up is available here.
