Planning has been submitted to create a new parking area, bridge and footpath next to the Salmon Lake Centre in Laxey.
The Ballannette Trust, an environmental and restoration charity, owns the land and facilities and hopes to increase parking for visitors to the centre and tea rooms.
The charity would put additional parking spaces next to the existing paths for staff cars.
It's also proposing to install a footpath and pedestrian bridge across the river.
