New tax codes will be issued by the Treasury in the near future.
The Income Tax Division is preparing to issue 2017/18 codes to people in employment.
It follows a change to personal allowances, and the 10 per cent tax rate band, which were announced in last month's Budget.
The division says if the only change to an employee's tax code is as a result of this a coding notice will not be issued.
However employers will be notified of all changes to employees' tax codes.
