There are plans to amend the salary support scheme to assist more small and medium sized businesses.
Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan MHK, confirmed this afternoon changes have been proposed which would allow special consideration for organisations who may not have qualified originally.
Meanwhile, a separate initiative is being set up to assist the tourism accommodation and fishing sectors.
In todays press conference, Mr Cannan says he hopes the economic curve will begin to flatten in the next three to four weeks and that, by staying at home, ‘people are helping to save jobs for the future’.
