Manx Telecom extends Parish Walk sponsorship to 2024

Manx Telecom has extended its sponsorship of the Parish Walk until 2024.

The company has been involved with the occasion as a sponsor since 2007, the Parish Walk is considered one of the biggest mass participation events on Island each year and after the 2020 event was called off, interest in this year's walk has been high.

Manx Telecom CEO, Gary Lamb, says: "Each year we are blown away by inspirational stories around the event and also the extraordinary sense of community it creates.

"We are delighted to be able to support the walk for three more years, providing opportunities for people to not only reach some of their personal fitness goals but to also raise money for charities and organisations that help the wider community."

A number of new features will be available for this years event, including a family-friendly fanzone based at Knockaloe on the day and a new app for participants and spectators showing locations of checkpoints, feeding stations and toilet facilities.

Meanwhile, Race Director, Ray Cox, adds: "Manx Telecom has been a huge supporter of the event, not only by helping us to ensure it is financially secure but also in encouraging and assisting us to develop it in so many different ways.

"We are indebted to Gary and his team for the work they do in promoting the walk and for taking such a keen interest in how we can continue to improve it for the good of the community."

This years walk takes place on Saturday, June 19 and people have until midnight on Sunday (May 16) to apply - details can be found via the link here.
