A man's won £1.7 million from an online gaming site, after it refused to pay and blamed the win on a glitch in software produced by a Manx company.
Andrew Green of Lincolnshire won the money on the Betfred website, Frankie Dettori's Magic Seven Blackjack produced by Douglas-headquartered Playtech.
However, in 2018, Betfred said a flaw in the game meant Mr Green wasn't entitled to his winnings and refused to pay - sparking a case in the UK courts.
In her judgement, Mrs Justice Foster said Mr Green was covered by the site' s terms and conditions and so Betfred had to pay out.
