A Douglas IT security company says firms on the Isle of Man can learn valuable lessons from a huge data breach in America.
This week, personal details of more than 200 million US citizens were left publicly available online - sparking fears about identity theft and possible blackmail.
Colin Tansley of Simply Secure Solutions says the database was insecure and anyone who knew its address could access it.
