The Island's Cyber Security Centre is warning investment scams are on the rise.
Figures from its latest annual report show Island residents lost almost £140,000 to this type of scam last year.
It says criminals exploit shares or cryptocurrency, promising victims rapid returns.
The largest loss on the Island to a single investment scam last year was £30,000.
