The Isle of Man Meats plant has been awarded 'Grade A' status following a rigorous, independent audit.
The organisation was awarded a BRC Global Food Standard Organisation Version 8 certificate for upholding high standards in the likes of food safety, legal compliance and animal welfare.
Plant director, Phil Parsons, says receiving the accolade for the second year running is an endorsement of the plants operations - adding it's 'great news' for the plant, customers and suppliers.
IOM Meats also launched its 'Make Sure It's Manx' campaign earlier this year aimed at providing clear labeling and promotional material to help shoppers identify locally-sourced produce.
