Inflation rose last month, according to the latest figures from the government.
The Consumer Prices Index went up to 2.1 per cent in July from 1.8 per cent in June.
The Cabinet Office says rises in the price of education and transport costs were primarily to blame for the jump.
Over the past 12 months, the data shows the price of Internet subscriptions and postage has also risen.
