New government figures show inflation has risen again, for the fifth month in a row.
In January, the Consumer Prices Index rose from 1 per cent to 1.6 per cent.
According to figures from the Economic Affairs Division, oil and other fuels have risen by more than 32 per cent in the last year.
The government says the rise in inflation last month was driven by housing, water, power and gas costs.
