A St Marks company says it's hoping to build 20 industrial units on a former mine in Foxdale.
Livelladean Ltd has applied for permission to build the units on land over the road from the village's clock tower.
In its application, the company says there's a high demand for industrial units and the proposed units would be accessed using the road into the existing industrial estate.
The company adds it would take special measures to deal with any contamination on the site left by mining.
