The government has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer.
Caldric Randall, who is a fellow of the Association of the Chartered Certified Accountants has been at the government since 2008.
Mr Randall has expressed his happiness at taking on the role and wants to build on the 'firm financial foundations that are in place'.
Treasury Minister, MHK Alf Cannan, says he knows Mr Randall is committed to ensuring financial sustainability and credibility for the long term future of the Island.
