A former Sulby shop could be turned into housing if planning is approved.
'Caley's Stores' on the Main Road had also provided accommodation to the shop owner, with the application looking to turn the whole retail premises into living space.
According to the application, there have been discussions with Lezayre Commissioners as Raymond Caley was a 'stalwart of the community' and a physical memory of this should be constructed on the site.
Applicants add that they don't want to leave the building empty and unused, potentially falling into further deterioration.
