More than 1,700 people currently work in egaming or information technology on the Island, according to government figures.
A freedom of information request to the Treasury asked how many firms are currently on the Isle of Man and how many people work for them.
Figures from the income tax division show there are 200 ICT companies and another 87 egaming businesses - although that figure may be higher.
And the Treasury says its data shows both sectors employed a total of 1,747 people.
