The Department of Infrastructure says it wants to improve office facilities at one of its largest depots on the Island.
It's submitted a planning application to get rid of temporary office units at Ellerslie Depot on Old Church Road in Crosby.
In its place would be a new building with a fixed access ramp.
The department says the site is next to the River Dhoo but is at low risk of flooding, and the new building would be suspended off the ground to reduce the risk even further.
