A shop in Douglas city centre could be sold off after a UK chain announced it was looking for a buyer for 500 of its stores.
WHSmith has confirmed it's seeking a buyer for all its high street locations as it concentrates on its travel arm, which has branches in airports, trains stations and hospitals.
The company hasn't yet released a list of stores which would form part of the deal, and it's not clear whether the Strand Street store would be included.
In a statement, WHSmith said there's no certainty an agreement will be reached, and further updates will be provided as and when appropriate.
