The government has launched a consultation to gather views on National Insurance.
An independent report into the NI Scheme found a number of areas where it could be fairer and certain anomalies could be removed.
The consultation raises issues such as whether Class 2 National Insurance should be paid alongside Class 4 as part of an income tax assessment, and aims to modernise the scheme.
