One of Britain’s best-known names in cycling, Chris Boardman MBE will be on Island next month to promote ‘Active Travel’.
The event is called ‘Enabling Economic Opportunity Through Active Travel’, and is sponsored by Conister Bank.
The objective is to provide high quality infrastructure to encourage more people to cycle or walk to work and school.
The former Olympic Cycling Champion Boardman is now Greater Manchester’s Transport Commissioner and the Chair of Sport England.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday November 2nd at the Claremont Hotel between 8am and 9.45am - but all tickets for the event have sold out.
