Onchan commissioners say a developer's pulled out of creating a padel tennis facility.
At its last meeting, the local authority heard the Department of Infrastructure had refused permission to borrow money for the project.
The board was told there'd been problems over whether it should write a draft tenancy agreement before asking the DOI.
And in the wake of the refusal, the proposed developer said they were no longer interested in creating the facility in Onchan Pleasure Park.
