The Island's phone regulator says it's giving extra time for a consultation about Calling Line Identification.
The Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority is looking into whether customers should be forced to show their real phone numbers to prevent fraud.
A consultation was due to end on Friday, but the body says it's been asked to extend the deadline.
