The government is encouraging Island organisations and students to take part in this years' STEP Programme.
The initiative sees companies take on an undergraduate unversity student for 8 to 12 weeks between June and September to help them improve their skills.
MHK Lawrie Hooper says the programme not only helps students develop their careers but highlights the importance they offer to different businesses during their time.
In the last 20 years, the programme has overseen more than 400 work-based placements - the deadline for host applications is May 30.
