A company in Foxdale says it wants to expand its premises with a bigger workshop and a new storage area.
St Johns Steel Services on Mines Road has applied for planning permission to make the changes to its business premises.
In its application, it says it wants to knock down an existing building in order to carry out the work.
The company says the development would give it around 50 per cent more space to work in.
