A company which carried out work on a garage containing asbestos after it was told not to do so has been fined £3,000.
E&J Properties of Bradda View Grove in Colby admitted breaching health and safety regulations and contravening a prohibition notice.
Magistrates heard workers had cut holes in a ceiling containing asbestos after the health and safety inspectorate ordered a halt to work.
The firm was also ordered to pay £250 costs.
