Chief Minister Alf Cannan has announced he'll defend his seat in Ayre and Michael in the general election.
Mr Cannan says the Island is facing many challenges in the future but also many opportunities, and he has carefully considered his decision to run.
He adds he'll publish his full policy agenda at a later date.
The general election will take place on Thursday, September 24.
