The Treasury Minister is praising the Islands' banks for their efforts in supporting individuals and businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alf Cannan's comments come after Tynwald approved several new measures aimed at offering financial support for businesses and employees during the new emergency measures for the Island to protect against Coronavirus.
On Tuesday, Tynwald backed National Insurance Holidays for employers in certain sectors as well as a scheme to provide grants of up to £3,000 to certain industries hit by the virus outbreak.
Another motion from Mr Cannan was also given the green light to offer sick pay compensation payments to relieve the cost of paying employees in self-isolation.
