Abbotswood Care Home says it's 'utterly devastated' at the recent events around the Coronavirus outbreak at the facility.
In a statement, the management and directors say they 'wish to extend our thoughts and prayers to the people we have been privileged to care for, and their families and friends who have been affected by the tragic events of recent weeks.'
Officials there insist they've done 'as much as possible to protect everyone who made Abbotswood their home' and are thanking the families of their residents and the wider community for the kind comments and gestures they've received.
An independent investigation is currently underway to look into the COVID-19 outbreak at the home where 47 people tested positive and 19 have died as a result of the illness
