James Taylor is the encapsulation of the best of American song writing. His music has touched millions worldwide over his ongoing 55 year strong career and his music still stands up to the test of time. This year marks the 50th anniversary of ‘How Sweet It Is’ which was a number 1 hit for Taylor selling over 1 million copies globally.
Joe will be focusing on songs from Taylor’s early catalogue, such as ‘Sweet Baby James’, ‘Something In The Way She Moves’, ‘Fire and Rain’ and also more recent classics like the evocative ‘Frozen Man’. Performing the songs true to how they were written and in the spirit of James Taylor himself, with a soulful lilt.
During this two hour show, you will be taken on journey back to simpler times and happily lose yourself in the dulcet tones and sweet melodies of the finest songs written in the last half a century.
The start of the show will feature some of Joe’s original music. The Lancashire born singer-songwriter is deservedly gaining attention on both sides of the Atlantic seeing him play shows around the UK, Europe and legendary venues in Nashville, Tennessee. His musical journey has seen him collaborate with some of Nashville’s top songwriters including Johnny Garcia of Garth Brooks’ band, hit writer Jill Collucci and Aaron Raitiere at RCA studios on Music Row. His sound is deeply rooted in the classic American style, with storytelling and lyric a main focus of Joe’s songwriting.
