On Thursday 22nd October 2020 is the first Night Orienteering event organised by Isle of Man Orienteering Klubb. This will take place at Tynwald National Park & Arboretum, St John’s. Registration is between 6.15pm to 6.45pm beside St John’s Church, with the event starting at 7.00pm in a mass start. This is a free order event in which participants have 1 hour to navigate their way around the Arboretum collecting as many markers as they can before the finish at 8.00pm. This activity is suitable for people of all ages and people can take part as individuals, families or groups of friends. Children must be under the supervision of an adult. Participants can walk, jog or run and suitable footwear and clothing must be worn for weather and underfoot conditions. Bring a torch to help with navigation and map reading in the dark. Compass is optional, to assist with navigation. Cost per map and description sheet - Adult: £3.00. Children under 16yrs: £1.00. Guidance can be given by Orienteering Klubb members before the start, if you are new to this activity. Further information –
