Southerly winds will increase strong to gale force by early afternoon, veering westerly this evening and becoming severe gale force in places late evening and overnight with gusts of 60-70mph, this likely to cause some damage. Maximum temperature 14°C.In addition significant coastal overtopping is expected at high tide (11pm, particularly Peel), with a risk of some tidal flooding around harbours, most likely in Ramsey. Outlook Tomorrow will then see sunny spells and isolated showers. Still gales or severe gales at first, these very slowly easing as the day goes on, only properly falling less than gale force by the evening.After a quiet start on Monday, another spell of strong to gale force winds will arrive later in the day and into Tuesday.
