A Wolverhampton school has been closed and pupils sent home after a body was found in the grounds.
West Midlands Police said in a statement that officers attended Smestow Academy following the report of a body on Monday morning.
The force said it arrived at 10.40am, and that the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It added that enquiries were underway to confirm the man's identity and the circumstances around his death, and that the school was closing to pupils.
Smestow Academy said on its website and social media that it was closing due to an "unconnected police incident".
